Home cleaning of a Canon S900 printer printhead?
My Canon S900 printer printhead is so clogged it won’t perform it’s own printhead cleaning program nor print at all. If I take out the printhead, is there a home remedy cleaning method? Thanks in advance.
Probably not. They don’t just get clogged, they wear out.
You could try just warm water and a Q tip.
No alcohol – can short the contacts, water or ammonia is recommended see below.
It isn’t that the heads are in the cartridge, but that they dock them against a pad moist with ink that keeps them from clogging. The pad uses a little ink, but it is pretty efficient.

It would be safest to use distilled water. Or ammonia.
