Canon EOS 1000D, Olympus E-520, or Pentax K200D?
Which camera is the best?
Criteria:
-Relatively quick shutter speed
-Great for Macro
-Good for portraits
-both AF and MF available
I refuse to go for Nikon. Everyone says they’re a nikon person, I’m not. They’re too big, too expensive, and I’m on a budget.
And I know that the Olympus has very limited lenses available – theres a 14-42mm and 40-150mm I think, which i reckon is all I would need…
Anyway, I’ve been asking lots of camera questions while I narrow down my search for my future Dslr Camera, sorry!

Interesting. Sounds like you need a K200D and the Pentax D FA Macro 50MM F2.8 so you can do great macro and good portrait work.
Also, of the three, the Pentax is the only one that supports both AF and MF lenses as noted in your question.
