Canon Pixma Ip2200
How can I fix my printer?
I have a Canon pixma iP2200 and I work with windows xp. Every time I want to print something the printer just wont pull the paper in and it either tells me I ran out of paper or that the paper jammed into the printer{but it didn’t in both cases}help

Often times what is happening is that the paper pickup/feed rollers have become dirty, and depending on the age of the rollers, they can begin to harden, all of which causes them to slip on the paper instead of grabbing it. The best thing would be to replace them, but that is often impractical and very difficult in some printers. What you can try is clean the rollers. This will be best done by using a lint-free cloth along with some water to dampen it and wipe the rollers as best possible. You can also use alcohol if you like, though alcohol tends to dry out the rubber over time and should be used occasionally. You could also search the internet or around town in local computer supply stores for rubber roller restorer which would work best to clean and rejuvenate the rollers.
