Canon Powershot Sd550
Is it possible to change the aperture on a “normal” non-Dslr Camera?
Is it possible to change? I have both a Canon PowerShot SD790 IS and a Canon Powershot SD550–like I said, not one of those fancy schmancy cameras (that I’d love to have) but a normal, Digital Camera.
SD790 – No. But what you can do is use your pre-sets to your advantage. Your camera will pre-set your aperture to something like f/22 when you’re in landscape mode and f/5 when you’re in portrait mode. Now keep in mind that these aren’t true f-stops, just simulated, so you’re not going to get the kind of shallow depth of field you’d expect out of a true aperture…..but it’s the best your camera can do.
Same with the SD550 – just use your pre-sets.
