Camera Nikkor
Will the Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Nikkor SLR Camera Lens. Autofocus with Nikon D80??? help please.?
I have that Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF lens and it doesn’t autofocus on my Nikon D40. But will it do so on Nikon D80???
Since the lens itself seems pretty basic ($140 price) so i’d be surprised if it actually somehow will autofocus with a D80.
Will it???

Thank you for ur answer “fphotoface” i’m a bit new to this and to the technological aspects, well im holding up this lens right now and it doesnt have any automatic parts in it, everything seems manual. So your saying that it will indeed autofocus installed on D80, because the D80 has the autofocusing inside the Camera Body???

It will auto-focus on all the other Nikon Dslr’s (only the entry level D40, D40x and D60 need the newer AF-S and AF- I lenses made since 1987).
I have uses on on both my old D100 and newer D200’s
